I began working with Carly earlier this year after we purchased a new home and I realized I needed help in decorating some larger spaces in my home. Carly is so thorough and gives me so many different ideas for a space. Her ideas on color, furniture location and decor are fantastic. She always gives me many ideas and makes sure it is something that I really like. I often find myself thinking “I would have never done that”, but it always ends up looking great!

I think what I love most is Carly integrates my existing decor to make my home feel cozy and connected. Her goal is to make my home fit my style, not hers!

Carly quickly learned my style and started bringing me options. She has an eye for design and detail. She has taken my home from bare and bland to pop and wow. Friends and family want her to style their homes. The fact that my husband and kids like our spaces says it all! Couldn’t have asked for a better designer!

Carly is amazing! I have an open floor plan that includes a living area, dining space, den and kitchen. By just replacing area rugs, updating the dining room chair upholstery, adding new lighting, pillows and other accessories, Carly was able to give each area a unique artistic feel, but when combined, still have one cohesive space. I feel like I have a brand-new place! Carly was able understand my tastes but also introduced things that stretched my normal style that, in the end, created a look that was exactly what I was looking for. It was a pleasure working with her and when I move in a few years, I can’t wait to see what she will do with a blank canvas!

Carly was amazing! She truly listened to what we were looking for in a living room style and the functionality for our family. She made it easy for us by curating options, all within our budget and desired look. She helped us create our dream space which we absolutely love! Our house and space now truly feels like a home. Hands down the best to work with — an exceptional eye for design and puts her clients’ needs first.

I came to Astrid Design Group with a clear vision to lighten up my open concept kitchen + living room. Carly was able to uncover exactly how we used our space through conversation, a home tour and very thorough questioning. She then designed a vision board that assured me she had listened.

Always budget conscious, she helped steer me to materials and design elements that would make the most visual impact while stretching my dollars. I love how my project turned out and have received many compliments!

Communication was frequent and honest. Carly was a master at coordinating contractors to get the job done so we could quickly put our house back together with little disruption. I will keep recommending Astrid Design Group over and over, and will be thinking about our next project together!

I have worked with Carly on several projects, my lake house and my downtown condo. The styles and “vibes” different for both. She nailed it on every project! I have recommended her to my friends, and they have all LOVED what she has done! You can’t go wrong with her!

I feel a lot of design professionals only have “their look”. One of the best things about Carly is she balances smart design with your personal choices and existing spaces. We worked with Carly to choose all new master bedroom furniture. I shared some initial color preferences and ideas with her. She came back to us with lots of options organized into coherent themes and even included some bonus ideas we hadn’t even thought of. I am normally lost when it comes to home design so I end up optimizing on function and giving up on any aesthetic appeal. Not only was Carly able to find pieces that checked all my function boxes, but now I have a room that actually looks great too!  We’ve had our new bedroom for well over a year now and still love it.

We hired Carly to design my home office and she blew us away. I do executive coaching and keynote speaking via Zoom from my office, so we wanted it to look great on camera, as well as in person. I provided a picture of something I wanted and yet, she made it even better! I know that is what interior designers are supposed to do, but what sets Carly apart is her personal touch and ease to work with. Here is an example of a personal touch: she made bookstands for the 2 books I have written, but she also made 2 more bookstands for future books I may write! So not only thinking ahead, but casting vision for her clients to be more! She was very easy to work in the whole process from design conception to installation and execution.

If you are looking for an interior designer, choose Carly. She will over-deliver in design, as well as be a joy to work with the whole time. The only problem with hiring Carly, is she is so good, that you will want to redesign your whole house just to keep working with her! 🙂

My husband and I decided to update our indoor space last fall. We had each been married previously and the interior of our home was more reflective of who we were with prior partners and not so much of who we are currently with each other. Unfortunately for us, neither are naturally gifted in the very fine art of interior design. Fortunately for us, I stumbled on a website with a photo of a very friendly looking young lady named Carly Jossund who advertised a hassle free interior design experience. I decided to reach out and I’m so glad I did!

Carly very promptly responded. She came to the house and met with me and my husband. She took the time to get to know what we were looking for, our likes and dislikes and what our budget was. She advised us on the order of big stuff to get done. She thoughtfully curated a collection of photos with choices that would look nice, be something we would like and be able to live comfortably with and also afford! It was so helpful to have someone with an overall vision of the scope of our project guide us through so many decisions. Decisions made, Carly was there personally, on site, for each step of installation. She has a fantastic team of installation experts and I could tell they all enjoyed working with Carly.  If something wasn’t right, she made it right. If something wasn’t going to be on time, she kept us informed.

Project complete. My husband and I are enjoying our renovated space so much. I don’t believe we could have done it without her. Any big change is stressful. I know I felt very supported throughout the process by Carly. She really took exceptionally good care of us and we could not be happier with the result. Thank you Carly.
